Sharing our excitement for kitesurfing

As many of you might know, our co-founder Kevin Langeree started kitesurfing as a true GROM himself, at age 11. He knows like no other that hard work and high motivation are key to becoming a better kitesurfer, but getting support from a brand definitely helps boost your kiting to the next level.

Sharing the excitement for kitesurfing runs through Kevin’s DNA, which is why it lies at the core of everything we do at Reedin. Starting a GROM team has been a lifelong dream for Kevin and now we have the opportunity to do so!

You cannot apply for the GROM team anymore!

About the GROM team

We’re excited to start our search for young and talented riders, that will form the new GROM team! We want to give our support by making high-quality gear more accessible and giving the chance to learn from our professional team of athletes. We can’t wait to see these young GROMs develop their skills and support their individual talents to help them grow together with our brand.

What is a grom?

The word grom is shortened from the word grommet. Used mainly in surf culture. A grom is a young kid, usually under the age of 15, that likes to surf. A grom refers to both genders male and female. Groms are known for going out in the oceans surfing with all their hearts, with passion like any professional in the extreme sports world. Groms are usually super chill and positive. They like to encourage their fellow surfer friends. Who wouldn’t want the chance to be sponsored by some really rad companies and travel the world doing what you love. So groms do have a competitive streak. Having fun and living to catch the next big wave, doing tricks and just being an awesome kid.
